Speaking of random purple insc weapons that are only supposed to come from FoW, I tried my hand at this quest because I was bored as heck anyways. First try: Q13 Shadow Blade, purple, insc. This means Q8 max insc Shadow Blades should drop...do want.

Edit: I'm very probably stupid and Shadow Blades drop from the Shadow Army in Realm of Torment too, don't they?

Ive got a new question for you:
Do non-inscribable maxed r8 offhands (+12 energy) or shields (16AR) still drop, or are all maxed r8 drops confined to EotN and NF and therefore doomed to be only inscribable?

A Screenshot with the still assigned drop and an EotN Hero in the party / EotN Skill on the skill bar would be great as proof.

Look down other threads like that low req thread. They do drop. r8 12energy gold offhands are quite common from chests in nm cantha&tyria. r8 shields are somewhat rare compared to offhands

For Tode. Im pretty sure the other weapons (Blade, Shield and Chaos etc.) will drop here too. Lucky i got a Shadow weapon considering you can open the chest once a month xD

Edit: For shadow staves it's still questionable if they can drop with primary (z-chest) attributes only, or with "all" attributes there.

i would also like to know of any str summit warlord shields. shame such a nice skin is only found tact. :/

I've seen (and have) "Staff Wrappings of Divine Favor," too. Thanks for the post and keeping an eye out for sure! But that wasn't one of the ones in question. It's ...

"Staff Wrapping of Fast Casting"
"Staff Wrapping of Soul Reaping"
"Staff Wrapping of Energy Storage"

... that I've never been able to find evidence of. I've found "Staff Wrapping of <every other caster attribute not listed above>" without too much looking.

Yawgmoth's explanation earlier about them being the same list of possibilities as what inherent HCT mods can exist on loot from Prophecies and Factions staffs makes sense based on what I've seen. (Note there's a different list of attributes which are possible requirements for staffs.)

On another note, thanks for the feedback and the continued q/a going on here. I will try to go through everything and get the OP updated soon.

It was asked before, that no they dont drop anymore in stre as far as everyone knows..

Anywyas i got this question

Does Canthan Serpent axes exist in r8?

Im pretty sure they dont, never seen one or heard of one, but guess it could be possible?

Is it safe to assume you mean r8 with max damage, or are you simply asking if any exist in r8 at all, even if nonmax?

And I don't know... I guess they could exist very rarely. Don't the Jade Brotherhood guys near Marketplace drop Serpent Axes sometimes? Anyways... most of them were from Tutorial Island where no max damage could drop in "req8 times" (for Axes). Never seen one, too. I'll add a very similar question: any req8 max dmg crude axes known?

I had a gold r6 serpent axe (canthan) - it was far from max...

I remember a max one being found, it wasn't r8, but would think it could be possible

Max canthan Serpents are now common thanks to Hard Mode and low reqs' still drop with low dmg.

And i know there was max canthan ones before HM, but never saw r8 one

And as far as i know, Max crude axes (canthans) didnt excist before Hardmode so id guess No for todies question

Since my HUGE fondness of Outcast shields, I wonder if any r8's are around. I know they should technically still drop, but haven't seen one yet. Probably you rich-ass collectors have got some beauty hanging around
